Founded in 2000, Proche Aidance Québec brings together 124 community organizations that support more than 41,000 caregivers throughout Quebec. The mission of these organizations is to improve the living conditions of caregivers by alleviating the impoverishment and exhaustion they experience due to the illness, aging and/or disability of a loved one, be it a spouse, friend, sister or child. They offer counseling, psychosocial support and respite.
